By registering with The Record Tent you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as laid out in this document. The terms and conditions are always posted at www.therecordtent.com/terms and may change from time to time. It is the user’s responsibility to keep abreast of these changes.
When you purchase music files from The Record Tent, you are acquiring license for personal listening use only of the works contained on these files. We sell mp3 files that are free of digital rights management (DRM) so that you can enjoy them on whatever device you choose, the same as you would with any previous format of consumable music. You are not, however, entitled to make copies for other users, whether for profit, or otherwise. Nor may you alter the work in any way. This means no editing of the audio files. If you would like to post a file for a blog, or use it in a podcast, most artists would be delighted, but please ask permission first by contacting the artist directly or contacting us.
For the safety of your music library, we keep a backup copy of your purchases on our server. In the event of a computer meltdown or theft, you can recover your purchases from The Record Tent. This does not include tracks downloaded as free or bonus tracks. We reserve the right to restrict or remove this feature from any user whose use of this feature we deem suspect.
Sharing user IDs and passwords with more than one individual is strictly prohibited.
Due to the nature of MP3s, we cannot provide refunds on purchased tracks. However, if you are unsatisfied with a purchase, contact us and we will do everything we can to make it right.
